ABOUT RACHAEL MURPHY

I am currently working in a part-time role to utilise my skills, experience and enthusiasm, in a position to help make a difference. I have a strong work ethic and a passion for supporting vital community services and local businesses in and around the Yorkshire region. I am now looking for a new challenge where I can utilise my full skill set.In my previous significant role, I worked alongside Claire Sutherley MD, running a business networking membership called We Are Wakefield. My role involved working with and supporting the members, running events, and executing campaigns to promote Wakefield and it\'s thriving business community.Key to the role was collaboration, supporting members to work together. As such I’ve honed valuable skills in organisation, communication and relationship building. Alongside this, I also helped organise events including the successful, annual Wakefield Business Awards and spearheading a fundraising initiative for a local Children’s Hospice. This involved assembling a team for a dragon boat race, securing sponsorships for team t-shirts and organising a successful fundraising event that exceeded it\'s target raising over with gift aid. It’s this experience that reignited my passion for making a difference and connecting with people. In previous roles, I have worked in sales, regularly hitting and exceeding sales targets, customer service/front of house and administration.Reaching out to contacts old and new, if you have anything suitable or would like an informal chat, please feel free to get in contact.
