   At the foundation, I lead communications strategy to help accomplish our goals to achieve health equity and end domestic violence in California. As a member of the executive team, I report to the CEO and contribute to organizational priorities such as diversity, equity, and inclusion; budget and priority setting; strategic planning; and creating a hybrid office to return to.I built a team of five top-drawer professionals who serve as communications leaders on interdisciplinary teams working to strengthen economic security and mobility, break the multi-generational cycle of domestic violence, and align systems with community priorities. I initiated a curriculum to help the team improve our skills specific to philanthropy communications, including grant making, evaluation, and strategic communications campaigns. We use all of our tools - grant making, social media, digital communications, storytelling, speaking engagements, communications campaigns and media outreach - to get the job done. We partner with internal and external experts, grantees, community members and colleagues to listen, learn and contribute creative approaches to raise awareness and promote solutions.
