Investigative Journalist | Production Coordinator | Social Media StrategistI graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2024 with a double major in Journalism and Communication Studies and a double minor in Public Relations and Film, Television, and Media Studies.I’m passionate about storytelling across mediums and eager to make an impact in the world of journalism and film. My career journey began during my sophomore year at LMU, when I interned as a social media manager for Iranian-American comedian Max Amini and his podcasts. That role quickly expanded, and within months, I was leading promotion for Amini’s international tour at just 19 years old.This experience sparked my interest in combining journalism and filmmaking, leading me to work on a documentary about political violence in Northern California. The project, done in collaboration with two other students, solidified my desire to pursue a career that blends storytelling with meaningful impact.I worked as a Production Coordinator at Marching Penguin for over a year, where I assisted with documentary production, prospected potential clients, and helped build production teams. Currently, I write and investigate full-time at The Westside Current, focusing on investigative journalism.Throughout my career, I’ve honed my time management and interpersonal skills, starting from a young age. As a high school student, I juggled three jobs, varsity cheerleading, student council, and volunteering—all while maintaining strong academic performance. These experiences laid the foundation for my continued success, including maintaining a 4.0 GPA during my time at LMU, even while navigating the challenges of the 2019 pandemic.
