ABOUT RACHAEL DEATH
In my role as Director, leading the Marbas Bristol office and as a Structural Engineer, I use both my design and site experience to provide efficient and pragmatic solutions for clients. I have strong skills in building refurbishment in a wide range of sectors and experience of working on a number of listed buildings. I am experienced in leading the design of large multi-disciplinary projects. In my role as Visiting Lecturer and Tutor at several local Universities, I use my industrial experience to bring context to the students. I have co-authored books on Concept Design of Buildings and Inclusive design for Structural Engineers, published by the IStructE. I also deliver CPD courses for the IStructE on Rapid Calculations and Adaptive reuse of existing buildings. I am the current Chair of the South West and South Wales Regional Group of the IStructE.
