About Rabindra Tambyraja
I am a seasoned physician and informaticist with 10+ years of experience managing healthcare data and optimizing clinical processes, information systems, workflow, and operational excellence. I have a strong track record of creating meaningful health IT solutions that drive innovation and alignment. As one of few physicians Board-certified in Clinical Informatics, Psychiatry, and Child Psychiatry, I have particular affinity for the challenges of unstructured data in healthcare settings. My clinical practice has spanned the mental health care spectrum from outpatient to high-acuity inpatient care. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS EHR/EPIC FRAMEWORK LAUNCH Spearheaded the design and launch of EHR framework for the new Ambulatory Care Center (ACC), a $250 million facility with multispecialty practice and a focus on pre-appointment workflow optimization, user interface, and improving patient flows by reducing waiting times. Oversaw the large-scale and highly complex implementation of a new EHR system across 300+ locations and 60+ practices in 35 states within 7 months after EHR selection, ensuring a cohesive informatics culture across 60 practices and compliance with disparate laws in 35 states. CLINICAL & INFORMATICS TEAM OPTIMIZATION Increased buy-in, improved user experience, and enhanced governance for all EHR changes by establishing Clinician Informaticist and EMR Champion cohorts. DATA VISUALIZATION MODELS & DASHBOARDSEnhanced document design and KPI dashboards for the ACC to monitor physician efficiencies post-EHR implementation. Worked with the Meaningful Use team to coach clinicians and improve performance. AI DEVELOPMENTDevelops Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning products that use informatics trends to strategically explore patient charts to identify at-risk patients and uncover previously missed behavioral health diagnoses. TEAM-FOCUSED LEADERSHIP As a leader, I draw on a blend of active listening, coaching, and team-focused collaboration to bridge the gap between people, processes, clinical knowledge, and technology. I am driven to deliver exceptional work and enjoy environments where the team is focused on giving their all. I love to envision a clear picture of the highest quality experience and keep driving until we get there. OPERATIONAL PROCESS DESIGN I have an in-depth understanding of a range of technical systems and clinical workflows. I am passionate about process design and skilled at doing it in a way that sets health organizations up for success during large scale IT system enhancements.
