Multiple Myeloma Institute | Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center+ Assesses, screens and enrolls patients into phase I, II and clinical trials for the treatment of Newly diagnosed and Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma.+ Manages trial subjects enrolled in industry-sponsored as well as investigator-initiated trials. Conducts physical exams, assesses patient toxicities, identifies primary and secondary objectives and reports outcomes, in compliance with industry protocols.+ Conducts patient education for trial subjects, including adverse event management, medication management, risk mitigation strategies and treatment plan guidance.+ Responsible for recording adverse events, interpreting data, planning, implementing, and evaluating care along- side physicians and nurse practitioners.+ Collaborates with the research team to prepare research proposals and draft amendments for investigator-initiated trials. Assists in the implementation of these amendments.+ Conducts research protocol training for outpatient and inpatient medical staff and coordinators.+ Contributes concise, constructive feedback in the provision of care to other staff and leadership, assumes responsibility and delegates to appropriate personnel and follows up to assure completion.+ Serves as a clinical role model, mentor, and/or preceptor, provides evidence-based practice suggestions and coaching to fellow team members.
