Raashi Agarwal is a Political Science Honours student at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, with a strong interest in governance, climate policy, gender justice, geopolitics, and diplomacy. Her academic and professional engagements reflect a commitment to understanding complex socio-political challenges and translating policy ideas into civic action. She aspires to build a career in public service and diplomacy, particularly through the Civil Services and international media.She is the Co-Founder of Climate & She, a youth-led initiative working at the intersection of climate change and gender. The initiative emerged from the Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC) City Climate Pulse Program and received grant support from the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) for its campaign, Project #MenoPAUSE.At CHRIST University, Raashi has been actively involved in student leadership, institutional initiatives, and community engagement. She played a key role in building the department’s Service Learning program from the ground up, founding a team, securing NGO partnerships, and enabling over 50 students to participate in community initiatives. She has also contributed to several student bodies and institutional initiatives holding leadership roles, focused on event coordination, budgeting, and student engagement like AGORA and The Debating SocietyRaashi also serves as the Social Media Manager for Jeevan, a youth-led organisation dedicated to social impact and community service. In this role, she manages the organisation’s digital presence across platforms, curates content that reflects its mission, and works closely with research and content teams to communicate social initiatives and outreach campaigns to a wider audience.Raashi is also an active Model United Nations participant with a strong interest in global affairs, diplomacy, and geopolitical discourse. Her experiences in international press and other conventional committees have strengthened her engagement with global policy debates and the role of media in shaping political narratives.Beyond policy and governance, she actively engages with storytelling and the arts. She has contributed as a writer to The People’s Poet and is a published author with Feminism in India. As a theatre artist with Orpheus Productions at CHRIST University, she has performed in stage productions, short films, and mimes exploring socially relevant themes.Her work sits at the intersection of public policy, climate governance, gender advocacy, civic leadership, and youth-led innovation.
