Elections - Product Owner - Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)In January 2024, ahead of the general election, I was invited to take on the role of MHCLG Product Owner for a backend portal supporting Electoral Registration Officers through major legislative change. I was responsible for defining and communicating the roadmap, securing buy-in from senior leadership at MHCLG and the sector, and ensuring clear, focused prioritisation under tight time pressure. I introduced a transparent triage process to manage incoming needs and built strong relationships with stakeholders across the sector to support them through both new legislation and new technology during the busiest year in the electoral cycle.* Elections - Senior Delivery Lead - Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)I led delivery of a backend portal to help Electoral Registration Officers process Voter Authority Certificates, Absent Vote Arrangements, and Overseas Elector Registrations. I managed a smooth supplier transition and worked closely with MHCLG stakeholders to bring structure to a complex backlog, clarify requirements, and build a 35+ person team with the right mix of user-centred design and technical skills. The work supported major legislative change and had to meet two extremely tight deadlines—both delivered on time.
