About Quinton Zondervan
Experienced non-profit executive and climate activist. Served 3 2-year terms on the Cambridge, MA City Council (20••••23).I\'m originally from Suriname, South America, and identify as Afro-Caribbean. I speak Dutch and Sranan tongo and lived in, with and next to the Amazon rainforest, bathed in the muddy rivers, canoed the black water creeks, watched the sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach, imbibed the cacophonous symphony of bird talk, toad song, and dog bark, cleansed in the mountain waterfalls, and stared in reverence at the enormous Ceiba trees. I honor all my ancestors, who were African, Native South American, Northern European, Middle-eastern, East-Indian and more, and I feel a kinship to all humans, regardless of origin or ethnicity.I\'m a servant leader dedicated to justice, peace, and protecting the Earth\'s planetary ecology. I\'m only interested in projects that advance those causes, and in working with people who share those values and that vision.I am a husband, father, grandfather, uncle and mentor, open to learning and teaching and expanding our minds together. Transformation is possible and difficult. I\'m committed to transcending our history and creating a shared future together that is built on peace, love, justice, community and mutual support.
