ABOUT QURBA ASHRAF KHAN

I hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with a triple major in Microbiology, Biochemistry and Genetics. Followed by a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microbiology. I am currently pursuing PhD. My academic and research interests lie broadly in microbial biology, with a focus on host–pathogen interactions, microbial communication, and phage–bacteria systems.I am particularly interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms that govern microbial behaviour, adaptation, and pathogenicity across diverse hosts. My long-term goal is to contribute to research that advances our understanding of microbial systems and supports the development of innovative biological interventions.Alongside my doctoral research, I teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and I greatly value the process of conveying scientific concepts, facilitating laboratory learning, and engaging in academic dialogue. This ongoing involvement in teaching and research has further strengthened my dedication to a future in academia, where I aim to integrate rigorous research with student-centred pedagogy. I am open to collaborative and interdisciplinary scientific work. I aim to engage in research environments that foster critical thinking and ethical conduct.
