High School 101 (Life Skills) teacher for Hobbs Freshman High School. High School 101 is a required semester-long course for 9th grade students at HFHS. The course is offered in the Family and Consumer Sciences Department. This class is an innovative, project-based course designed to engage students transitioning from junior high to high school with essential life and academic skills. As a teacher, I develop lesson plans, provide traditional and modern methods of instruction to ensure students are meeting or exceeding the standards of Hobbs Municipal schools and the state of New Mexico. As an assistant football coach for Hobbs High School Athletics, I mentor, train and develop football players. At the freshman level, I break down film, develop game plans and call the defense. For the Varsity and JV teams, I assist in implementing the game plan, running drills, and evaluating talent.

I’m Quintin Gee, a coach, educator, and U.S. Army Veteran. I am a High School 101 teacher (Life Skills) at Hobbs Freshman High School, and I’m also an assistant football coach for the Varsity, JV, & freshman teams. My passions for sports and mentoring our youth are what led to my career change from a mass communication to education. My vast work experiences has more than prepared me to be an innovative and highly effective instructor for our future leaders. Along with teaching students and training soldiers, my background includes creating compelling and impactful content that brought my creative side to the table. I am a team player with excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to work with others at any level in any environment. I am looking for a new opportunity where I can leverage my skills and experience, while learning and growing professionally.
