By sourcing donations from food recovery nonprofits and small farms, the initiative addresses the physical health risks of poor diets in prisons while fostering rehabilitation, improving facility environments, reducing recidivism, and promoting community safety. This project bridges a critical gap in food quality and accessibility, creating a healthier, more dignified experience for adults in custody (AICs).
