The Program Director is responsible for providing strategic oversight and programmatic direction for the Indigenous and Traditional Peoples Program (ITPP) in CI’s Center for Communities and Conservation. The Director provides advice and guidance to CI’s headquarters and country programs and initiatives on their policies and practice for working as part of CI’s institutional strategy with Indigenous Peoples and their organizations. The ITPP Program Director also provides technical and programmatic support for several small or a larger, more complex project on an annual basis in countries where CI works (50%) as well as global projects working with Indigenous partners. Represents CI as a key technical resource and builds alliances/engage key external stakeholders including government and NGO officials, donors, and others critical to project success.
