About Quilan Heitmann
As a Systems Safety engineer at Boeing, I ensure the safety of aircraft systems by conducting thorough engineering analysis to proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards. My experience in the aerospace industry includes internships at both Tinker Air Force Base and Boeing. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma Christian, and I’m also certified as an Engineering Intern in the state of Oklahoma.Leadership roles have been an important part of my engineering development. As team lead for OC\'s SAE Aero Design competition team, I leveraged agile methodologies and strength-based task allocation to achieve successful competition outcomes. This experience, recognized with the Loyd Leadership Award, taught me how to balance technical excellence with effective team dynamics. Outside of engineering, I also served as the concertmaster of OC\'s chamber orchestra.
