About Quetzal Ruvalcaba
I am a pre-law, fourth year Ethnic Studies student at UC Berkeley with minors in Race and the Law & Political Economy. My experience surrounds the legal research and defense of system-targeted communities; especially low-income families of color. I seek to attend a T-14 law school and pursue a career as a defense attorney. I am currently conducting my senior thesis on California\'s CARE Act as a practice of de-facto criminalization of disabled/racialized bodies - the creation of a status for criminalization - in order to remove houseless people from public areas.
