Working with the Tailings Department (Mississauga) and Environmental Services Group (Sudbury) to assist with mining-related acid rock drainage and metal leaching assessment work on a variety of projects located in Ontario, British Columbia, Mexico, and Central and South America.Of note was a geochemical assessment of co-deposited waste rock and dewatered tailings as part of a broader project assessing novel new ways of storing stacked mine wastes while minimising dam construction requirements. The geochemical assessment involved the construction and instrumentation of field test piles at two mine sites with monitoring carried out over an 18 month period.
