ABOUT QUENTIN GUERANGER
When I started out in biological sciences, I was driven by the excitement of discovering something no one had seen before. As I have grown professionally, I\'ve come to realise drug development is fundamentally collaborative, and that knowledge is only useful if helpful to others.I am an oncology project leader with a strong blend of scientific depth, strategic thinking, and cross-functional leadership. I have led target-validation and discovery-phase programs across oncology and CNS, consistently focusing on high-quality science that drives clear decision-making.As Associate Director at Amphista Therapeutics, I have led two oncology collaborations with BMS and a high-priority kinase program with Merck KGaA. I drove the kinase project into hit-to-lead in July, triggering a significant milestone and strengthening collaborative trust. Beyond project leadership, I revitalised Amphista’s cell-culture operations, improving productivity and data traceability, and delivered two Degrader Antibody Conjugates that supported business development activities.As Director of Target Validation at Mission Therapeutics, I established and led the early discovery pipeline for novel deubiquitinase targets in oncology, CNS and inflammation. Four projects were initiated, two progressed into hit-to-lead, and I defined biomarker and target-engagement strategies for an AbbVie collaboration in neurodegeneration.My initial training is immunology though, and the interplay between antibody repertoire diversification and DNA damage response. Those fields remain close to my heart and I enjoyed every opportunity to get back to them.Throughout my career, I have managed multi-million-pound budgets, built and motivated teams, and forged productive external partnerships. My core expertise lies in protein homeostasis and the modulation of ubiquitination, developed over more than a decade in oncology and CNS drug discovery. This scientific foundation, combined with operational leadership, enables me to translate innovative concepts into robust preclinical assets.I bring energy, collaboration, and scientific clarity to every initiative, and I am excited to contribute these strengths to a team dedicated to impactful early-stage drug discovery.This has been my journey so far, but I only got started, would you like to add another chapter to it?
