William Julius Wilson Institute (WJWI) is the national impact division of the Harlem Children\'s Zone. WJWI is a national resource for place-based, people-focused solutions that open pathways to social and economic mobility. Through direct work with a set of communities, WJWI builds an ecosystem that enables high-impact, place-based work, and effectively resources and empowers neighborhood leaders to drive sustainable change in the most vulnerable communities.What I Do: Lead external engagements and relationship-building with community leaders, government representatives, and national stakeholders to implement Gov. Wes Moore\'s landmark legislation, the ENOUGH Initiative to address historic inequities in the state and tackle the root causes of poverty. Responsible for implementing WJWI’s approach to establishing, strengthening, and evaluating place-based, cradle-to-career initiatives by providing direct technical assistance support to ENOUGH stakeholders. Deliver strategic consultation to neighborhood-based organizations and work closely with place-based partnerships to create actionable strategies that advance their mission, optimizeresources, and enhance their community impact. Manage philanthropic partnerships across the state of Maryland on behalf of WJWI.
