About Qi Zhu
A logo, a typeface, a piece of motion, lines of codes, I combine tools and media to communicate sophisticated stories. My design process started from my favorite pastime as a 12-year-old, taking computers apart. As I learned more about them, I started putting pieces together to build computers. The decomposing habit became the basis of recomposing. Today, that mindset is the foundation of my design practice that guides me through complex notions and problems. Breaking them down into the most elemental concepts, I analyze, understand, and dive into them bravely to construct with all the insight.
