He has a solid background and strong R&D track records in large-scale transmission and distribution system modeling, simulation and analysis, application of AI/machine learning for power system operation and control. He also has more than 10 years of experience in industry-grade power system simulation algorithm implementation, software development and integration. He has endeavored to enhance power and energy system modeling, simulation, and control by leveraging multiphysics/scale-simulation, machine learning, and advanced computing techniques. He believes in the power of open-source and has been contributing to several open-source tools/packages. He is one of the core developers of an open power system simulation engine-InterPSS He developed OpenHybridSim (https://github.com/openhybridsim), the first open-source tool for Electromagnetic Transient-Transient Stability (EMT-TS) hybrid simulation, and RLGC (https://github.com/RLGC-Project), an open-source platform for developing and benchmarking reinforcement learning algorithms for grid control.
