About Qiansha Meng

I am a graduate student majoring in Computer Science at Northeastern University. Prior to enrolling in this program, I have years of law-school training and professional legal practice under my belt. Big transition into tech brings big challenges, but also opens a whole new world for me.During my exploration into the tech world, I was glad to find that my soft skills honed previously in legal industry had already prepped me well for diving deep into new programming knowledges. Passion makes me sit coding for a whole day without noticing time passing. Curiosity prompts me to ask questions to challenge those seemingly settled solutions. Persistence pushes me to never give up in the face of hurdles. Craftsman spirit sets the bar high for my work quality.Most importantly, I enjoyed every bit of this journey to this point. Along this journey, I\'ve learned some programming languages (such as Java, Python) and their web application frameworks (such as Spring Boot, Flask). In conjunction with different databases like MySQL and MongoDB, I have a feel that the world is my oyster. The topics and technologies for my academic projects are all carefully handpicked in order not only to build my programming skills but also to mimic real-life problem solving scenario. I believe that every sprint I made and every hurdle I crossed made me one step closer to the stage that I can make real impact in people\'s life.
