He was a recipient of a Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement and a variety of distinguished scholarships, including OGS, OGSST, MITACS ACCELERATE, Koningstein Scholarship for Excellence in Science and Technology, Precarn Scholarship, and John Ruptash Memorial Fellowship. He also won the Best PhD Dissertation Award at the 2012 International Symposium on Theory of Modeling and Simulation, Orlando, FL.From 2010 to 2012, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Exascale Computing group at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, NY. During that period, he participated and led several research projects, including high-performance parallel discrete-event simulation for large-scale stream applications, parallel discrete-event simulation on heterogeneous architectures, hardware-in-the-loop simulation for automated performance benchmarking of cloud infrastructures, and agent-based architecture for autonomic management of virtualized data centers. In 2013, he worked as a lead advanced computing researcher in the Software Sciences and Analytics Organization at the GE Global Research Center, NY.
