ABOUT QARRAR SOMJI
I didn’t grow up planning to be a lawyer.I grew up in Arusha, Tanzania, in a small home where my mum baked cakes to pay the bills and my dad taught himself every skill he needed to survive.Nothing was easy, but nothing was impossible either. Those early years taught me two things:1. Work hard, even when nobody is watching.2. Stay calm when life becomes messy. These lessons carried me through unpaid internships, long commutes, petrol station shifts, and the kind of early jobs that build character more than they build a CV. But they shaped the lawyer I would become.Today, I’m a Solicitor Advocate, CEDR Accredited Mediator, and Director of Witan Solicitors, helping businesses and individuals solve serious problems like- Commercial disputes and civil litigation- Breach of contract issues- Shareholder and partnership disputes- Business conflict resolution- Insolvency and debt recovery matters- Construction and technology disputes- Arbitration and mediation, including cross-border casesI also work internationally, representing clients in the US, BVI, Cayman Islands, Greece, Portugal, Singapore, Hong Kong, and other jurisdictions. When I bought Witan Solicitors, my goal was not to build a big firm.It was to build a trusted one, a place where clients get straight answers, a clear strategy, and honest guidance when everything feels uncertain. And that’s usually how people find me.Not when things are calm, but when things are breaking. Most clients reach out when the dispute is hurting their business, their cash flow, or their peace of mind.Contracts have been breached.Partners have fallen out.Emails have turned hostile.Another lawyer gave confusing advice.Or they simply feel overwhelmed and alone in the process.I understand that feeling. Because I’ve lived through pressure, uncertainty, and long roads myself. My job today is simple:I bring order to the chaos.I explain legal problems in plain English.I map out your options with the commercial realities in mind.I help you decide when to fight, when to settle, and when to re-frame the problem entirely. In short: I help turn disputes into strategic advantage not legal theatre, not false promises.People come to me stressed. They leave with direction, clarity, and a sense of control again. If you want calm, clear, strategic help from someone who knows how to handle tough disputes,DM me the word “LEGAL.”
