ABOUT Q. BRANDON KEASLER

In December 2013, I earned my Masters Degree in Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I am also a current member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. I am a 2010 graduate from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training, and I passed my Board of Certification exam on June 9th, 2011. Having worked at Winthrop University has allowed me to gain a wide variety of skills. These include my extensive experience to provide immediate first aid and evaluation of all athletic injuries, basic record keeping, athletic event hydration protocols, and inventory control, filing all insurance claims, parent communication, and basic follow up rehabilitation for injuries sustained during sporting events. I also monitor the transition and progression of each athlete into new, more effective exercises. In addition, my years of experience in my many diverse clubs and organizations at Winthrop, has given me the ability to respond quickly to different challenging situations. I gain exceptional communication skills and act in several leadership roles that ultimately lead up to my promotion to being elected to Vice President and Director of Education of the Xi Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. While I was in office I successfully implemented several educational objectives that led to us having the highest cumulative GPA on our campus of a 3.3, and the most community service accruing over 350 hours in a semester with less than 10 people projects, while I was in office.
