Ten years ago, I left a promising career as a data scientist in Silicon Valley with a simple idea: what if technology could be used to serve those in need?I founded Bayes Impact, a nonprofit using AI and technology to reinvent social services for the common good. My work focuses on building citizen-led solutions that empower institutions to deliver social impact at scale. Over the past decade, we have partnered with governments, public services, global institutions, and local communities across three continents, impacting millions of men, women, and children.Our latest solution, CaseAI, is an AI platform that gives social workers superpowers by improving their working conditions, helping them save time, and enabling them to support vulnerable individuals at scale, from job placement to child protection to healthcare.Notable Impact- Built Briser la Chaîne, France’s official Covid exposure notification system, reaching 10M+ people- Created Bob, an AI employment coach that supported 500k+ jobseekers with France’s national public employment service- Developed Ursus, California’s police use-of-force reporting tool, launched with then-AG Kamala Harris and deployed in 800 agencies- Mobilized 500+ tech volunteers through LaRéserve.tech to support national crisis response- Secured $15M+ from leading philanthropies including the Gates Foundation, Google.org, and Y CombinatorHonored globally with awards including Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneurs, MIT Innovator Under 35, and Ashoka Fellow, I believe that the growing possibilities of AI must be leveraged to better serve institutions and citizens around the world.
