About Venkata Gopala Rao Palla
As a Tech Prof Leader at Halliburton, I work in Cementing R&D team. In this role I will be primarily responsible for developing new technologies and to sustain IP generation. Prior to this role, I have developed a new non-invasive technique to characterize and measure surface wettability of casing metals. This technique can be used at downhole conditions. I am also a part of the developing team for a customized fluid flow solver designed for simulating cementing jobs.Before joining Halliburton, I was with Computational Research Laboratories India Limited where I was one of the initiators and developers of slow-flow simulator using Lattice Boltzmann method. Apart from the slow-flow solver, I worked on studying thermal properties of nano-particle suspensions, and diffusion of hydrocarbons in zeolite structures using Molecular Dynamics simulations.
