ABOUT PUSHPINDER PELIA LUBANA

I’m passionate about understanding human behavior and uncovering insights for product and service design. At PayPal as a UXR leader, I led a research team on platform experiences, including customer identity and authentication, risk, privacy, compliance, growth markets, customer support, and other strategic enterprise areas. I bring 15+ years of experience in product design in healthcare, biotech, and consumer marketing. As a Product Discovery Coach, I have led product, engineering, and design teams through problem and solution discovery across global markets (South Africa, Philippines, India, Mexico, Argentina, Thailand, Spain, Japan). This has resulted in new features, patents, and localization approaches. A parallel thread in all that is I do is highlight and address issues of equity and justice in product design. Through the lens of an anthropologist and the skills of a people leader, I help teams build products that are customer-centered, inclusive, impact lives, and grow the business. I love building high-impact research teams through mentoring, coaching, and growing researchers. As part of my core pillar of equity and justice, I co-developed and ran a justice and equity initiative at PayPal and run the board of a non-profit serving marginalized youth in India through education and economic empowerment initiatives.
