I sat on the trading desk, not in some distant agile pod. From day one I questioned the defaults. Why wait months for a release, what can we strip down, what can we rebuild smarter.Instead of the usual 8 to 12 month cycle we shipped a working app for traders in 3 months. Talking to them every day, building what they needed, cutting what they didn’t.That success gave us credibility and led to a new team, the UXUI Center of Excellence. From there we built Forge Libraries, grids and themes and components that 150+ developers now use. These tools cut setup time in half, created consistency across apps, and freed devs to focus on real features, not boilerplate.Impact in short: • Turned Excel workflows into a responsive Angular app that traders actually wanted to use. • Proved a small team close to users could deliver 3x faster than the standard process. • Built reusable UI libraries used across the org, saving time and giving apps a consistent look.
