ABOUT PUNEET SHARMA
I am a P&L leader, treasury manager, and macro analyst with almost 10 years of experience in FX/Rates markets. In my current role, I lead a small team to conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic events and market trends to generate broader outlook for markets. Other than economic analysis, we use technical and quantitative signals to find high-conviction opportunities across G10 currencies and interest rates markets. In addition to this, the team also handles the treasury function for the organization. Other key roles I have are to guide the team members, provide strategic advice to the management, and lead the day-to-day treasury operations; primarily around export, import, funding, managing relationships with banks, and ensuring operational efficiency in the department.I also work closely with brokers, banks, macroeconomic, and other market related research providers to manage our sell-side relationship. Prior to this role, I was part of the operations team at QVT Financial LP, a multi-billion dollar, multi-strategy hedge fund, where I handled a wide range of tasks, from trade booking and settlement to liquidity management and reporting. I have a Bachelor of Engineering. I hold the CFA charter, the CMT charter, and I have a certificate of excellence in Executive Program for Algorithmic Trading.
