About Pulkit Mishra
B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kalyani. Graduated with a 9.41 GPA, ranking 2nd in my department. Currently working as a Software Development Engineer II - Machine Learning at Google, building the ML platform for Google Pay.At Jio, I worked across the ML spectrum - from training models to deployment, be it as REST APIs or on edge devices. I gained experience in all modalities - computer vision, NLP, and speech. I\'ve been immersed in the generative AI space for quite a while and closely follow its rapid developments. I\'ve also had my hands in various aspects of ML infrastructure and MLOps, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.Before Jio, I was a Machine Learning Research Assistant at skit.ai, where I worked on text-to-speech systems. I also interned at Hike Messenger, developing a real-time 3D avatar system. I\'ve also had stints at a few other startups, each adding something new to my ML toolkit.I\'m an open source enthusiast. I\'ve participated in Google Summer of Code as both a student and a mentor. I\'ve also contributed to Facebook\'s Pysa as an MLH Fellow. Mentoring new developers keeps me on my toes and learning.Hackathons are my playground for new ideas. I\'ve won a few, including Smart India Hackathon. I\'m always up for tackling interesting problems with tech.When not immersed in code or keeping up with the latest in generative AI, I\'m often lost in the pages of a novel or pondering over poetry from the Romantic era. Occasionally, I try my hand at writing.Always open to conversations about ML, generative AI, literature, or the latest tech innovations - after all, there are promises to keep, and miles to go before we sleep.
