About Pujitha Desiraju

Pujitha is a Technical Program Manager in Microsoft Azure Core focused on quality and resiliency of the Azure Host and platform. Her day-to-day is devoted to empowering Azure customers monitor and troubleshoot Virtual Machine Availability disruptions so they can run their workloads seamlessly on Azure. Her obsession with problem-solving and penchant for leveraging strategy and leadership to influence, attracted her to the responsibilities of a Program Manager. She often looks for creative solutions to complex problems and enjoys design and storytelling which is routinely employed in her engagements with critical Azure customers. While at Microsoft she is also extensively involved with D&I initiatives - producing a podcast that provides tools to women in advocating for themselves. She is also extremely passionate about uplifting underrepresented communities and continues to work on allyship and social justice in technology by reviewing and proposing changes to existing community policies in place at Microsoft. She also hopes to have her own podcast one day which covers fun and diverse conversations on career, growth, success, inclusion and so much more, especially for those who may be exhausted with the large amount of unrelatable and cookie cutter discussions on D&I that is usually restricted to leaders.Before joining Microsoft in 2018, she graduated with a bachelor’s in computer engineering from Purdue University. While technology was an unsurprising choice for her as she grew up in a family of engineers and scientists, she knew that only being involved in the implementation of technology via coding was not the career she envisioned. From then on, she has never looked back and is now thoroughly enjoying the complexity and ambiguity of the ever-growing cloud era while also applying her skills to expand customer adoption and streamline business growth.
