About Puja Chakraborty
My academic journey is complemented by hands-on research experience and a strong foundation in both scientific inquiry and computational techniques. In my role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Gomez Lab, Mount Holyoke College, I focus on investigating the impact of charged defects on ionic conduction in materials. This research spans doped perovskite oxides for proton conduction in fuel cells and lithium/lanthanum/zirconium oxides for lithium-ion conduction in batteries. I utilize ab-initio tools to analyze extensive datasets, applying traditional graph theory tools and their extensions to advance our understanding of materials science and ionics.Outside of my academic and research pursuits, I am a trained Indian classical vocalist and someone who is very passionate about Music, Art, Books and Movies.
