Responsible for alarms, faults and events management in the North of England and Wales Electricity Transmission System, and carry out Transmission System Impact Assessments to secure the System as per the GB SQSS, Grid Code and STCP. Optimise Real-Time System Constraints, and provide supervision and guidance to aTSE to operate and direct the real-time switching and configuration of the Electricity Transmission System. This includes the management of planned outages, system security as per the Security and Quality of Supply Standard (GB SQSS), voltage control and reactive power despatch. The role heavily involves in customer liaison such as; Transmission Owners, DNOs, Network Rail, Power Stations or any Users’ Systems that may be affected by the operations or events within the transmission system. Additionally, I am one of the trainers and I provide support to the Control Training Unit (CTU) to optimise training modules and scripts to new starters.
