I currently work at AND Digital as a Tech Principal, a role that sits somewhere between Engineering Manager, Senior Architect, and Principal Software EngineerI’ve been in the industry since the late 90s; designing, coding, running, and supporting globally provisioned, 24/7 business critical systemsI’ve spent time on the support lines; worked on complex clients projects (often to meet complicated regulatory requirements); written specs; designed features; mapped out backlogs and roadmaps; built deployment pipelines; run cross-timezone delivery teams; rebuilt interview processes; influenced strategy, and most things in-betweenI\'ve also worked across multiple industries, including: manufacturing, recruitment, vetting, security, FM, edTech, aviation, retail, and charityWhile I enjoy playing with technology outside of work (ask me about Creeper Rabbits or decimal clocks), I also enjoy many other things: reading, writing, board games, computer games, crochet, cooking, working on cars, and so on.
