ABOUT PRUTHU SIMHA HINDUPUR
I’m Pruthu Simha, a Master’s student in Management Science and Engineering at Columbia University, currently based in New York. Before Columbia, I worked for over three years across enterprise and startup environments, including Deloitte and a consumer-facing product startup.At Deloitte, I worked on large-scale data platforms supporting customer engagement and analytics. I owned parts of a Customer Data Platform upgrade handling daily records, defined product requirements for multiple customer-facing automation features, and supported releases through production to ensure reliability and stability. My work reduced incident rates, improved reporting turnaround, and earned recognition for delivery quality and stakeholder trust.Earlier, at a startup, I worked closer to the product surface. I helped deliver 10+ customer-facing features across multiple sprints, analyzed usage patterns across 300+ retailers to inform prioritization, and used rapid prototyping to validate ideas early. I also worked hands-on with frontend performance, improving load times and engagement using real product data.Outside formal roles, I’ve led product strategy and execution in competitive settings, including a national product hackathon, and currently serve as Vice President of Growth for Columbia’s Product Management Club. These experiences reinforced how much outcomes depend on clear thinking, ownership, and execution under constraints.At Columbia, I’m now focused on roles at the intersection of product, data, and systems.
