At Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), a customer-owned health insurer, my primary focus is on building and maintaining secure and compliant data processing pipelines using various tools and techniques. I configure database settings, create backups, and resolve issues to ensure data integrity and reliability. My role encompasses a range of responsibilities, from designing and implementing Azure-based data pipelines to developing and managing ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory for seamless data integration from diverse healthcare systems.I optimize data storage and retrieval using Azure Data Lake Storage, ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness, and implement Azure Synapse Analytics for big data processing. I also design and maintain SQL databases in Azure SQL Database and Azure Cosmos DB for both structured and unstructured healthcare data. Additionally, I develop and deploy machine learning models in Azure Machine Learning Studio to predict healthcare trends improve patient outcomes, and integrate Power BI for interactive dashboards and visualizations to track and report healthcare metrics.Furthermore, I automate deployments and monitor pipelines using Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices, perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation using PySpark and Python, and utilize Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track system performance. I manage containerized workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker, leverage Hadoop ecosystem technologies for large-scale healthcare data processing, implement Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming, and develop data processing scripts using Python. My work also involves managing version control and collaborating on data engineering projects using Git, and automating build and deployment processes with Maven.
