TL;DR I am a perpetual student of technology, obsessed with creating accessible, delightful, and valuable experiences that unfold on the web. More specifically, I\'m a front-end developer who runs on chai. I believe code is just highly functional art. Yes, I\'ll be on your Hackathon team.I\'m currently having lots of fun working with the Core UI team at SAP Concur to develop and maintain an accessible, theme-able, and scalable library of React-based user-interface components and their delivery infrastructure. I also have a very expensive degree, specializing in User Experience and Information Architecture (MS Information Management) at the University of Washington, Seattle. It is worth every penny.Previously, I was a full-stack software engineer and a part-time Java magician in the financial services industry. Here I cultivated skills to design and develop interfaces as well as complete applications for desktop and web, using technologies ranging from legacy (Java EE, SWING ExtJS) to current (AngularJS, React, SASS, HTML5).I like to support my development decisions with a process derived from UX practices - research, journeys, mock-ups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes (using tools like Balsamiq, Optimal Workshop, and Figma) that aim to effectively convert user\'s pain-points into gain-points. Approaching a problem from both - the user and the technology perspectives helps me deliver solutions that are relevant and technically sound. This also helps me truly understand and work in synergy with the developers, designers, quality analysts, and business teams.The seven years (and counting) experience working as a Graphic Designer, has helped me gain an appreciation for aesthetic simplicity and minimalism, which I try to bring to my technology solutions.
