1. Senior Program Director

   Arizona Conservation Corps

   May 2024 — Present · US

   As Senior Program Director at Arizona Conservation Corps (AZCC), I lead both the Phoenix Urban Forestry Program and the statewide Individual Placement (IP) Program. Drawing on my background in urban ecosystems, I spearheaded the development of AZCC’s Urban Forestry Program—collaborating with municipal, nonprofit, and private-sector partners to launch an Urban Arboriculture training initiative that expands workforce opportunities in urban forestry.In partnership with local stakeholders, I helped write and secure over $1.2 million in grant funding to support the program’s launch and long-term sustainability. This investment is advancing Arizona’s green workforce, increasing urban tree canopy coverage, and mitigating the heat island effect across the Phoenix metro area.I also oversee the Individual Placement Program, which connects emerging conservation professionals with positions at land management agencies and environmental organizations. Since taking leadership, the program has grown by more than 40%, supported by strong partnerships, effective funding strategies, and a focus on high-impact, career-building experiences.
