I am Professor of Health Metrics Sciences at the University of Washington and Director of Research Strategy at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). With over 25 years of experience in infectious disease epidemiology, I focus on advancing the science of health measurement to improve decision-making and global health outcomes.At IHME, I lead research strategy across the Institute, shaping an integrated portfolio of global public goods such as the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study.
