ABOUT KEVIN FENTON
25+ years experience in public health medicine, infectious disease epidemiology, HIV prevention and sexual health, having worked in research, policy development and programme leadership at global, national and local levels. Previously Strategic Director for Place and Well-being at Southwark Council; the National Director for Health and Wellbeing at Public Health England; and National Director for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention at the U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. Honorary Professorships with University College London, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and Kings College London. I am an experienced systems leader of large, complex and innovative public health programmes in diverse settings. My most recent roles have involved national and local leadership in all core areas of public health practice, policy and research including: health and wellbeing, population health, prevention, infectious disease control, health intelligence, health communication and marketing, emergency response and health equity. Specialist areas of expertise and research involvement include: HIV, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Health Inequalities, Wellbeing, Urban Health, Social Regeneration, and Digital Public Health.
