Dr. Saurabh Kumar is the Founding Dean at the SCHOOL OF DESIGN, GRAPHIC ERA UNIVERSITY, Dehradun. Before this he worked as Dean-School of Design, MIT World Peace University; Assistant Dean-School of Design & Visual Arts, Apeejay Stya University; Assistant Director & Professor-Industrial Design and HoD-Foundation Dept. at Unitedworld Institute of Design, Karnavati University; Course Leader-Product Design, School of Design at Pearl Academy Mumbai; Design Professor with NIFT Mumbai. He has completed his PhD in the field of Design Management.With 20+ years of rich experience, he has been an innovative leader with broad-based expertise in Research, Design Strategy, Sustainable Socio-business Models, Curriculum Design, Skill Development and Art & Design Pedagogy.Previously, he has led large-scale complex design and socio-business innovation projects in the design and consulting industry. He has been instrumental in the design and branding of leading motorcycles and scooter models while associated with HONDA R&D in India. At TATA Elxsi, he has worked in a team on fully-armoured defence vehicle design projects. While in DY Works he has channeled various Strategy and Branding projects in the FMCG domain. At LUMIUM Innovations he has proficiently managed high-value strategy and design consulting projects in the field of Medical Products, Home Appliances, FMCG and Lifestyle products. He has been responsible for setting up the Innovation and Incubation Cell at Symbiosis International University. He has carried out design and business-consulting programs for MSMEs pan India under the Design Clinic Scheme at the Ministry of MSMEs, Govt. of India and various projects by the Directorate of Industries, Govt. of Maharashtra. He has worked holistically with MSMEs & MSME Clusters across India to design Awareness, Innovation Workshops, Need Assessment Surveys, Diagnostic Study Reports, Soft Interventions, New Product Developments, and Detailed project reports for setting up Common Facility Centres (CFCs).Skilled in Business Design Tools, UX-UI, Product Design, Automotive Design, Lifestyle Accessory Design, User Experience, CAD, and Curriculum design, Saurabh is adept professional with B.Des. from NIFT Delhi, Master\'s in Strategic Design Management from NID Ahmedabad, Masters level program in Strategic Design from Politecnico di Milano (PDM) Milan, International Business program from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi.
