It is with great pleasure that I begin my new role today as Professor of Criminology and Global Justice at Aston University. My academic work will address key questions of radicalisation, social inclusion, and equity, a focus that will be institutionalised through the establishment of a new Aston Centre, serving as a comprehensive hub for research and policy engagement. A further key responsibility will be developing an innovative Master\'s programme in Criminology, with distinct pathways.
