ABOUT KEON WEST
I\'m Professor Keon West - public speaker, expert researcher, inclusion specialist, internationally esteemed expert in social psychology, and multi-award winning author of The Science of Racism. I\'m an expert in quantitative research I\'ve earned a doctorate in quantitative social psychology from Oxford University (Balliol, 2010, Rhodes Scholarship), published 80 peer-reviewed scientific articles in some of social psychology\'s most selective and respected journals, and served on several prestigious academic editorial boards. As a consultant I\'ve performed in-depth, data driven analyses of culture and operations and used the insights from these data to develop clear, actionable strategies. I\'m available for cultural audits, strategic analyses, research project management and other data-driven roles. I\'m an engaging, impactful public speaker and science communicator Even when discussing the most challenging, scientifically complex topics (e.g, racism, political polarisation), I\'ve been described as \"engaging and eloquent\"(by Caroline Sanderson of the Bookseller),\"persuasive and precise\"(by Dr Adam Rutherford in the Spectator), and \"charismatic and funny\"(by Farrah Jarral in the Guardian). My recent book, The Science of Racism, was described as Illuminating, surprising, unnerving, moving. utterly necessary for this time in history (by Sathnam Sanghera, author of Empireland). My many appearances on radio (e.g, BBC Radio 4, Radio 5, World Service) and television (e.g, Channel 4, Discovery Channel) further highlight my ability to present difficult topics in engaging, enlightening ways. I\'m available for keynotes, workshops, media, and other communication roles. I\'m an experienced, science-driven inclusion coach and consultant Inclusion work is under political fire at the moment for many reasons, but the need for fair, inclusive workplaces where everyone is treated with equal dignity and respect remains as real as ever. With a doctorate from Oxford University and a wealth of scientific publications on bias, inclusion, and improving group cohesion and performance, I am the ideal person to guide you or your company toward achieving your inclusion goals. Maybe you\'re tired of the hype and the ineffective strategies, maybe you\'re an inclusion trainer who would like more scientific grounding for your work, maybe you\'re a leader who just wants all your team members to perform at their best - in all those cases, I can help. I\'m available for coaching, training, strategic planning, and other inclusion roles.
