I lead a team of researchers and evaluators specialising in violence and aggression, criminal justice, education and learning, and diversity and inclusion.As Founding Director of Honour Abuse Research Matrix (HARM), I lead a multi-disciplinary network of academics, police, safeguarding practitioners, survivors, policy makers and specialist trainers dedicated to eradicating harmful practices, including honour violence and other forms of domestic abuse.

Professor (Hon.) Roxanne Khan, PhD, is the Founding Director of onEvidence and the Honour Abuse Research Matrix (HARM) Network.A Chartered Psychologist and Chartered Scientist, Roxanne is a multi‑award‑winning researcher whose work has shaped national and international policy on honour‑based abuse, domestic homicide, and safeguarding. She holds an Honorary Professorship in Psychology, Crime and Justice at Cardiff Metropolitan University and is the recipient of the 2025 Excellence in Forensic Psychology Research Award and the 2025 British Psychological Society Book Award for her textbook The Psychology of Honour Abuse, Violence, and Killings, described as an “exceptional published work.”As Head of Research at onEvidence, she leads multidisciplinary projects across violence and aggression, criminal justice, education, and equity. Her work has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Awards in 2022, and cited in parliamentary inquiries, super‑complaints, and sector guidance.Roxanne is committed to survivor‑centred reform, collaborative leadership, and creating open‑access tools that strengthen practice and amplify lived experience.
