ABOUT HAMIDREZA GOHARI DARABKHANI

With over two decades of combined industrial and academic experience, I lead the Staffordshire Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Engineering (CRSE) at University of Staffordshire, focusing on advancing low-carbon and renewable energy systems. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, our team emphasises sustainable engineering solutions that address critical global challenges, including carbon reduction and the integration of renewable energy technologies. My work spans high-impact R&D projects, including renewable energy systems, CO2 capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) technologies, and advanced micro gas turbine systems. Leveraging expertise in performance modelling, CFD simulation, and energy system optimisation, I drive innovation in smart building technologies, alternative carbon-neutral fuels (e.g. H2, biofuel, e-fuels) and sustainable energy solutions. My mission is to contribute to global net-zero targets through impactful research, innovation enterprise and collaboration.
