Professor (Dr.) H. P. Singh is a distinguished academician, researcher, and educational administrator with over four decades of rich experience in teaching, research, training, consultancy, and institutional leadership.He holds a Ph.D. from Andhra University and an M.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Over the years, Professor Singh has earned recognition as a policy advisor, trainer, institution builder, and strategic thought leader in higher education and technology domains.Before his current role as Vice Chancellor of The ICFAI University, Jaipur, he has held several prominent positions, including:Chief Executive Officer, Podar Group of Educational InstitutionsPro Vice Chancellor, NAAC A+ accredited SGV University, JaipurVice Chancellor, The ICFAI University, Himachal PradeshDirector (Marketin & Commercial) in a Public Sector Undertaking, where he offered consultancy to leading strategic organizations in IndiaDuring his tenure with the Indian Defence Services, Professor Singh led multiple delegations to Russia and Israel for high-level deliberations on software-intensive systems for national strategic programs.An accomplished researcher and mentor, Professor Singh has guided more than 50 M.Tech. projects and 25 research scholars, eight of whom have been awarded Ph.D. degrees under his supervision. He has authored two books and published numerous research papers of practical relevance in reputed national and international journals.His academic and research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Network Security. He has organized several international conferences on Cyber Security and chaired technical sessions on contemporary themes of national and global significance.Professor Singh’s contributions have been recognized at the highest levels. He is the recipient of the Presidential Award – Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) for distinguished service of an exceptional order to the nation, and a Commendation by the Service Chief. His accolades also include the International Academic and Research Excellence Award (2019) and the Icons of Himachal Pradesh Award (2021) by the Times Group.He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (FIE), India, and serves as Chairperson of several academic and administrative committees across The ICFAI Group of Universities.
