ABOUT ADAM NICHOLLS
As Professor of Psychology at the University of Hull, I bring over 22 years of experience in research, leadership, and university teaching. My work focuses on advancing sport psychology, with a specialisation in psycho-social factors influencing doping behaviours, as well as the dynamics of emotions, coping, and stress in sports contexts. I have contributed extensively to high-impact research publications, including systematic reviews and investigations into psychological principles related to athletic performance. He has been interviewed by media outlets including Forbes, the BBC, The Times, Esquire, Channel 5 News, ITV News, The Telegraph, and De Standaard. My experience securing research funding has enabled collaborations with prominent organisations such as the International Olympic Committee, the World Anti-Doping Agency, the Medical Research Council, the National Institute of Health Research, and the European Commission, furthering the development of innovative projects in the field.
