ABOUT RICKY FRAZER
With over a decade of experience in medical oncology, I am an Honorary Visiting Professor at Cardiff University and a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Velindre Cancer Services, specialising in immunotherapy, renal cancer, skin cancers and acute oncology. I am also a Macmillan Professional, with a strong commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based cancer care.At Velindre, I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex and innovative systemic therapies, while leading services focused on acute, inpatient and palliative oncology, immunotherapy toxicity, and advanced cellular and complex oncology treatments. Alongside clinical leadership, I am Vice President and Deputy CEO of the Immuno-Oncology Clinical Network (IOCN), supporting regional and national collaboration to improve outcomes for patients receiving immunotherapy.Medical education is a central part of my professional practice. I am Faculty Lead for Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) at Velindre Cancer Centre and Royal College of Physicians College Tutor, with a focus on developing future oncology and acute care leaders. I am also Programme Director for the Diploma and MSc in Medical Oncology delivered by Learna and validated by the University of Buckingham.
