ABOUT NICK DRYDAKIS

Professor Dr. Drydakis has developed and offered credit-eligible courses on Economic Growth, Development, Inequality, Poverty, Discrimination, and Exploitation. These courses have been delivered to Economics students from Ivy League Universities such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth College, Pennsylvania, and Cornell.Currently, Nick is a Professor of Economics at Anglia Ruskin University (UK) and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (Germany). He leads the Centre for Inclusive Societies and Economies (CISE), formerly known as the Centre for Pluralist Economics. In the REF2021 evaluation, 100% of CISE\'s impact was recognized as \'world-leading\' or \'internationally-excellent\' in the major UK exercise.He serves as the Courses Convenor and Lecturer for (i) The Economics of Growth and Development, and (ii) The Economics of Inequality, Discrimination, Poverty, and Exploitation at Pembroke College, University of Cambridge.Nick also holds the position of Academic Associate and Economics Tripos Supervisor at Pembroke College, University of Cambridge. Furthermore, he collaborates with the Centre for Science and Policy at the University of Cambridge as an Academic Expert, providing expert knowledge to Directors from Whitehall and the European Commission.Nick is an advisor to the European Commission and the International Labour Organization. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK. Nick contributed to the 2021 REF exercise with 4 single-author papers, internationally rated as world-leading at the 4 ABS level works have been utilized by the World Bank, the OECD, the ILO, and the EC to shape and inform future employment policies. Nick has worked with the Government Equalities Office (UK) and Inclusive Employers (UK), as well as collaborated with the CIPD (UK). He has also participated in EU and World Bank research programs, such as the Progress Programme, European Territorial Cooperation Programme, and Knowledge Platform Programme. Nick has held several Lectureships/Senior Lectureships in EU Universities.Nick directs the Centre for Inclusive Societies and Economies (CISE) at Anglia Ruskin University. CISE consists of a group of leading researchers working on the economics of discrimination, education, ethics, exploitation, innovation, institutional change, law, moral and political philosophy, and pluralism. Students are involved in CISE’s scholars\' primary research, data collection, software and multivariate analysis, and learning under the supervision of CPE’s scholars.
