37 years of experience including of 10 years as Director and Principal Executive Officer at Indian Institute of Packaging- Expertise in Testing and quality evaluation of packaging materials, Consultancy for package design, & development,Cost optimization, Market survey,Techno-economic feasibility Study, Packaging education and Research- VICE PRESIDENT of World Packaging Organization(WPO) or 3 years and SECRETARY GENERAL of Asian Packaging Federation(APF) for 6 years- Now,Permanent Honorary Member of APF-Chairman of 5 sectional committees related to packaging like TX-23, CHD-16, TED-24, PCD-21,PGD-38 of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Govt of India for formulation of National standards on Packaging Materials and packages-Chairman, India Biomass Project under “INDUS” ( Indo-Dutch Sustainability Forum),an initiative of Govt. of Netherlands- Visiting Professor at Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT), Delhi - Editor in Chief for International Journal of Packaging Technology & Research ( JPAC), published by Springer Nature, Germany.( Awarded Honorary Certified Asian Packaging Professional (CAPP) by APF-Published 10 research papers & more than 350 Articles on Packaging in National and International journal and magazines- Principal Investigator for Patent on “Packaging Container made of Plastic Laminated Squeezable Tube for Liquid jiggery” for the package design Concept to enhance Shelf life of Liquid Jaggery- Authored two books in Food Packaging for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and an e-book on ‘Packaging of Food Products’ for National Science Digital Library of National Institute of Science Communication & Information; In addition, he has also written a Chapter on ‘Packaging and Transport of Fragrance’ to the Fragrance & Development Centre (FFDC),Govt of India- He was nominated as ‘Domain Expert’ under REACH Mission, implemented by TIFAC, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt of India in 2001 under Mentorship of Dr A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, then Principal Scientific Advisor to Prime Minister and Former Hon’ble President of India-About 500 presentations on packaging in national and international conferences in India and abroad and Chaired many technical sessions in packaging- Expert in \" Selection committee\" of Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council ( BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology ( DBT),Govt.Of India.
